MicroAssist is seeking a part-time PHP developer to help with increased workload. This opportunity may lead to additional project opportunities depending on expertise.

Job responsibilities include:

Applicants should have proficient experience in PHP and MySQL, and any Fusebox experience is a plus. The selected candidate will review current applications and help enhance them for better performance, debug and fix issues and write new code.

The following are required skills:

Programming:
• Very comfortable in a PHP environment
• Experience writing object oriented code
• Ability to repair code written by someone else

MySQL:
• Basic administration
• Intermediate design concepts
• SQL query optimization
• Understanding indexes

The candidate must be able to work both independently and as member of a team, and must demonstrate skills to solve problems with little supervision. The candidate must demonstrate a great attention to detail and the ability to follow documented coding standards. Being quality focused and able to respect a timeline by skillfully managing workload are also a must.
