We are seeking talented, self-driven, software engineers interested in the latest voice and video communications protocols. You will join a team developing Polycom’s latest industry leading HD Video Conferencing Systems. The right candidate is a highly motivated individual who is able to work in self-motivated teams that can take a product from conception through delivery. Strong interest and/or experience in Voice and Video over IP (VVOIP) highly desirable.
Key responsibilities include:
Design, develop, test and maintain software for Polycom’s world class video conferencing systems. Specific emphasis on network and communication protocols (H.323 and SIP)
Scoping, implementation, testing and tracking of feature progress through delivery. Coordination with other groups to deliver complete solution.
Analysis and disposition of complex issues as pertaining to network and signaling protocols.
The ideal candidate will be able to work independently while keeping the team goals in mind; be an innovative thinker; and have the willingness to tackle difficult problems.
BS in EE/CS with a minimum of 4 years experience or an MS in EE/CS with a minimum of 2 years experience.
Knowledge of C/C++, Unix/Linux, embedded development.
Excellent software engineering practices with respect to understanding requirements, source control, unit & functional verification testing and defect tracking.
Must be a team player.
Must be able to provide accurate estimates for development tasks and be able to execute those tasks on time and with a high degree of quality.
Demonstrable problem solving skills and experience.
Excellent communication skills.
Prior experience working with Video conferencing system
Experience/Knowledge of Linux operating system
Experience/knowledge of telephony, networking, H.323 and SIP.
