Looking for a reliable Linux consultant

Greetings from Utah.

My name is Chadd and I am located in northern Utah, about an hour north of Salt Lake City. I work at BIO-WEST, Inc., an environmental consulting firm (www.bio-west.com, but please don't look at it too much -- it's not a particularly good website but we're working on that).

BIO-WEST is a company of about 35 employees and we work on a variety of projects, including environmental impact statements, endangered species studies, fisheries and stream restoration, wetland studies, and projects associated with the Clean Water Act, the Endangered Species Act, and the National Environmental Policy Act. We have about 20 people in our Utah office and other employees in smaller offices throughout the western U.S.

BIO-WEST has a location near Austin that has five employees. I am trying to secure the services a reliable Linux consultant to build, configure, install, and support a Linux server for our people in Austin. I'd like to find someone who could monitor, update, and audit the server on a monthly basis and provide on-site support for the associated network of five Windows workstations.

Ideally, I'd love to find a Linux shop located in Austin that does this kind of thing for a living. BIO-WEST would love to hire a company that can provide these services indefinitely on a contractual basis. However, I would gladly consider a lone-gun type consultant who could demonstrate the ability to render reliabile, long-term service.

My hope is there is such a person in the Austin LUG (or someone in the Austin LUG knows somebody who knows somebody). Please contact me at cvanzanten [at] bio-west.com or chaddd [at] gmail.com and we'll talk about it. Thank you!

Chadd VanZanten

P.S. Looks like you have a very healthly Linux group down there. Viva Linux. Love your website.
