If anyone is interested, we have a number of positions available within the central IT Services group here at UT that are currently available (some just became available today).

In the ITS-Operations/Systems/Windows Enterprise Systems group, we also have a Senior System Administrator position open at http://utdirect.utexas.edu/pnjobs/pnjobsvw.WBX?job_nbr=080229019317, for support of VMware, backup and recover, SAN and disk management.
The ITS-Operations/Systems/Mainframe group actually runs almost as many Unix servers as my group does, but all of theirs are used in direct or indirect support of the mainframe systems. ITS-Operations/Applications has a Senior Systems Analyst position open at http://utdirect.utexas.edu/pnjobs/pnjobsvw.WBX?job_nbr=080225019319, and the short description is "Member of Identity and Access Management (IAM) Team within ITS-Applications who will perform systems analysis and design of web-based and database-driven applications." I think I know which projects they're talking about, and I'd be the ITS-Unix guy who would be supporting those projects, or at least one of the ITS-Unix guys involved.

In this job, you could be working on just about any project in ITS, because these days almost all of them touch these same kinds of web technologies one way or the other.
