September 17, Austin Linux Group will Celebrate Software Freedom day at New Horizons Computer Learning Center. We will help people install GNU/Linux (come early), answer GNU/Linux questions, hear presentations, emphasizing the value of Free software. We may discuss how you can be involved with and benefit from free software.

Jason Schonberg will discuss the installation and use of several linux distributions on Sun's Virtualbox. Configuring virtual machines and using physical devices (eg. usb) within the virtual machine.

ALG is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing education about the installation, usage, and maintenance of the GNU/Linux operating system.
The corporation was formed in 2002, but the group began its life in 1995 in the law offices of Jep Hill in downtown Austin. At various times in our history, meetings have been held at Huston-Tillotson University, Texas DOT offices, and a number of other locations.
