FlightGear: 3D Modeling with OpenGL

Long-time senior support technician Wolf will be giving a presentation on July 17th of FlightGear, a 3D-modeled flight simulator. FlightGear is a collaborative project that has created a sophisticated, free and completely open-source flight simulator framework. All code is GPLed and designed for OpenGL. FlightGear runs on Linux and other major platforms. Several networking options allow FlightGear to communicate with other instances/users of FlightGear. Wolf will be discussing installation on several Linux distros. He will go into the actual 3D modeling techniques that were used in building the simulator and participants are invited for a hands-on demo. We're in for a rare treat on this one.
